What are CBD Products?

The CBD product list continues to grow. CBD can be found in many forms and products from oils and tinctures to candies and creams. It is even being found in food and beverages, skin care lines, and more. CBD can be infused in pre-made beverages. Or you can add your CBD tinctures to your drink of choice. The same can be done with skin care. Many products are creating formulas with CBD. You can also add your favorite CBD into any of your personal care products.

How Do I Find the Best CBD Products?

For starters, always know where your CBD comes from. Quality brands will provide third-party test results for each of their CBD batches. Lab reports should show the CBD is free from heavy metals and pesticides, and the product has as close as possible to the amount of CBD the label claims.

Additionally, look to see what type of CBD is in the product. CBD can be Isolate, Full Spectrum, or Broad Spectrum. Isolate or Pure CBD contains only cannabidiol and no other cannabinoids. Full spectrum CBD will contain THC and can only be purchased in states with medical and recreational laws around THC.

Broad spectrum contains other cannabinoids along with cannabidiol, but removes the THC.

Best Way to Use CBD Products

The best way to approach CBD is: start low and grow slow. Everyone’s unique body chemistry will be affected slightly differently by CBD just as it is with any other supplement. Beginning with a low dose and tracking the effects is the best way to start integrating CBD into your daily routine. After you get a baseline of how you will feel at a low dose, you can slowly start increasing your dose as needed or desired. More isn’t always better when it comes to cannabidiol. So remember you may find better results with a lower dose.

Are CBD Products Legal?

The laws around all things cannabis can be confusing. And it often seems that federal and state laws are at odds with one another. Check your state laws to learn more about what is legal in your region. The passing of the 2018 Farm Bill opened new possibilities for CBD products, as it legalized hemp and removed hemp from the DEA’s Schedule 1 Substance list. On a federal level, CBD that is hemp derived and contains less than .3% THC is legal.
